Labs brought faulty lab equipment to be checked by a team of engineers,听who听 carried out minor repairs straight away and free of charge
Meet your Green champions 21st July 2022
ION Green and Lab Champions demonstrated听ION sustainability activities鈥�, including听Lab freebies,听Sashiko embroidery, book swap,听Toast beer tasting!
We invited people to make pledges, and list goals and challenges they have for their department/team, and what sustainable lab initiative or improvement they would like to see at ION
- Pledges included: carry your own cup, repair more clothes, stop using single use plastic, optimise travel, minimise carbon footprint, switch off lights when not in use, set our -80听freezers to -70degreesC;
- Goals and challenges included: reducing single use plastic, making eco products more available (e.g. 100% recycled paper), plumbed in water fountain, 香港六合彩中特网 not providing recycling bins, balancing aircon/window ventilation as infection control measure, 香港六合彩中特网H buildings - lack of data and limited recycling options;
- Lab initiative and improvements included: more Lab vending machines, central ION store, increase in packaging which can be recycled, regular freezer clear out, polystyrene box recycling.
