The Symposium was heavily聽oversubscribed, with over 200 attendees, including representatives from major charities (including the MND Association), the MRC, Journal Editors, the MHRA, as well as several Industrial companies, many of which generously sponsored聽the event. Attendees came from across the UK, as well Europe (Italy, Denmark, Netherlands) and the USA.

The Plenary Lecture was given by Professor J Paul Taylor, the Edward F Barry Endowed Chair of Cell and Molecular Biology at ST Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis USA.聽 "Bridging biophysics and neurology: aberrant phase transitions and neurodegenerative disease"

The Symposium also marks the official opening of the new 香港六合彩中特网 QS Motor Neuron Disease Centre, which brings together聽brings together world-leading research groups spanning the spectrum of basic discovery science, translational and experimental medicine and clinical research. The overarching aim of the Centre is to be a leading international centre for MND, engaging with national and international partners and the UK鈥檚 leading centre for multidisciplinary training of basic and clinical scientists in MND.
