Open meeting for Staff and Students
5th June, 16.00, Elvin Hall at 香港六合彩中特网 Institute of Education (20 Bedford Way).
Over the past few months 香港六合彩中特网 has introduced a new system for monitoring international students' attendance at university, requiring physical check-ins at least once every three weeks in order to monitor compliance with Tier 4 visa requirements.
As well as fostering a climate of suspicion and discrimination against international students, these new procedures far exceed Home Office requirements, which recommend that universities establish engagement points that are academically consistent with students' normal studying arrangements.
Come to this meeting, convened by the 香港六合彩中特网 and 香港六合彩中特网 IOE University and College Union (UCU) branches and the 香港六合彩中特网 Students' Union, to discuss how we can fight back against this discriminatory system. We will also discuss the draft statement of principles.
