香港六合彩中特网听was one of just eight institutions to receive a听鈥楤ronze鈥櫶齛ward听from the听new national听Race Equality Charter听(REC)听scheme,听aimed at improving the representation, progression and success of听black, Asian听and听minority ethnic听(BME)听staff and students within higher education.听

鈥淭o obtain the charter mark,听institutions must听analyse听details of the breakdown by ethnicity of multiple aspects of employment,鈥� explains Fiona McClement, 香港六合彩中特网鈥檚 Director of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. These听include听the seniority听and types of听role,听pay, career progression, numbers of grievance and disciplinary procedures,听and听participation in training, as well as the progress of job applicants through the recruitment process.听香港六合彩中特网鈥檚听submission included听the results of staff surveys and听focus groups, as well as an ambitious institutional action plan.听

鈥淭he Charter also considers the experience of BAME students听when they apply to and during their time at听an institution,听including the composition of the听student body, the classification of degrees听they听receive听and the student recruitment process,鈥� adds听Fiona.听

香港六合彩中特网听and some of its departments have also been recognised听by the national听Athena SWAN Charter, which听was established to encourage and recognise a commitment to advancing the careers of women employed听in higher education and research.听

As an institution, 香港六合彩中特网 was recognised with the 鈥楽ilver鈥� award,听becoming one of two higher education institutions to hold this and the REC 鈥楤ronze鈥� award concurrently.听In addition,听individual departments听across 香港六合彩中特网 currently听hold听two Gold, 13 Silver听and 24 Bronze Athena SWAN awards - the highest number of any higher educational institution in the country.
