Dr Irina Brass appointed to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's Turing University Team

Dr Irina Brass, Associate Professor in Regulation, Innovation and Public Policy in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø STEaPP, has been appointed as a member of the Turing University Team to act as a research lead between the college and the institute.
In what is believed to be a first for a Turing University Partner, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has created a Turing University Team (TUT) to replace outgoing Lead, Professor Mirco Musolesi. Dr Irina Brass will be joined on the team by Professor Elsa Arcaute (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis) and Professor Miguel Rodrigues (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Electronic and Electrical Engineering).
Dr Brass’ research sits at the intersection of public administration, technology policy and the regulation of innovation. She is specifically interested in anticipatory and adaptive regulatory frameworks and governance models designed to respond to the emerging risks and uncertainties associated with disruptive technologies. Her work has focused on the regulatory and standardisation challenges associated with emerging digital technologies as well as advanced biotherapeutics for personalised healthcare. She adopts a socio-technical approach to her work and frequently collaborates with engineers, economists and legal scholars.
