His PhD thesis, entitled 'Vladimir Nabokov and the Russian Emigration: Intellectual and Creative Responses to the Rise of Totalitarianism' was examined by , Professor of Russian Literature & Music at the University of Oxford, and Dr Sarah Young, Associate Professor of Russian at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø SSEES. Bryan’s supervisors were Prof Maria Rubins, Professor of Russian & Comparative Literature, and Prof Pamela Davidson, Professor of Russian Literature, at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø SSEES.
