Mission and Vision

The main objective of a MICROBIOLOGY@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø domain is to bring together those members of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø with interests in Microbiology to create a collegiate and inclusive community of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø staff and students interested in microbiology with the view of strengthening Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s research, teaching and innovation base in Microbiology.Ìý

Aims and Objectives

The overall objective of the MICROBIOLOGY@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø domain will be continue to build a community interested in Microbiology, with the view of strengthening research, teaching and innovation, as well as engaging the public with the wonders of the microbial world. Our aims are:Ìý

  • To identify and engage with all those at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø with interests in Microbiology.Ìý
  • To bring the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø community together to facilitate discussion and collaboration.Ìý
  • To identify our strengths and weaknesses in research and innovation with a view to strengthening the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø impact from Microbiology.Ìý
  • To identify and implement strategies for research and innovation.Ìý
  • To identify possible collaborations with industry and innovation partners.Ìý
  • To work with the research councils and other funders to identify synergies in funding opportunities for research, innovation and doctoral training.Ìý
