Synopsis


The European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) is a public-public partnership between countries in Europe and sub-Saharan Africa, supported by the European Union. The partnership spans institutions mandated by the governments of 14 European and 18 African countries. The Partnership aimsÌýis to reduce the individual, social and economic burden of poverty-related infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa, by supporting collaborative research to develop accessible, suitable and affordable medical interventions.

As of 31 December 2018, the Swedish International Development Agency contributed over 10 million EuroÌýto support projects within the scope of the EDCTP2 Programme. Researchers from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø STEaPP were asked to evaluate the Agency's contributions in a comprehensive report.Ìý
