Many people have reported striking, disturbing, or unusually vivid dreams during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the Spring when the first lockdowns were imposed.听This 鈥榙ream surge鈥� has provoked renewed curiosity about the meaning of dreams.听While Freud insisted that dreams were meaningful, he focused on what they revealed听about the dreamer鈥檚 private life.听
The dreams reported during this extraordinary time highlight the impact of the broader socio-political context on our inner worlds.听In this webinar, as we enter a second lockdown, the MSc students behind 鈥楲ockdown Dreams鈥� (a research project on dreams produced during the pandemic) present and discuss their work with psychoanalysts Daniel Pick and Liz Allison.
