What attracted you to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø?

I was amazed by how unique the programme offerings were, and wanted to gain a more international perspective on multidisciplinary fields.

How has Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø been different to what you had known at high school / at your previous university?

My undergrad was in a smaller city, so it's been amazing to have Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø situated right in bustling London and have so much to offer. I also enjoy how self-driven the academics can be, but also how tight-knit the small postgrad departments are.

What aspects of your studies do you enjoy the most?

I love being able to interact with so many different students from all sorts of interests and careers! Being a postgrad student in particular has allowed me to meet many people who are coming back to school after having worked in various careers, and I enjoy learning about their experiences.

What makes you most proud to be a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø student?

Seeing how excited everyone is to interact with each other and meet new people.

Exciting, collaborative, innovative

What are some of the most interesting things you have done, seen, or got involved with while at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø?

I have really enjoyed going to events hosted by different cultural societies, and I am amazed by how many university-wide fairs and events there are. Also, there are so many amazing museums to explore at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and around campus! I've spent a lot of time wandering the Wellcome Collection.

In what way has studying in London enriched your studies?

As someone interested in medicine and public health, I have gained a more global understanding of health and learned a lot about how different systems and approaches to healthcare function. London has so many cutting-edge research and innovation opportunities and is really a hub for public health advancement.

Who inspires you most at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and why?

Each of my fellow classmates, since they contributed something different and unique to our course.

What advice would you give to a student considering Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø?

Be ready to have something new to do every day and make plenty of time to explore the Bloomsbury area!

How has being at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø changed you and the way you think about yourself?

Moving to London and studying at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has made me feel so much more prepared to take on the real world, and has made me feel more confident in starting life in new environments.

What are your future ambitions and how do you think that being a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø student will help you get there?

I hope to become a physician-advocate who utilises public policy to tackle health inequities, and the PPE Health course is perfect to help me get there. I've learned so much about healthcare systems around the world, and how to build more equitable healthcare.
