Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Dementia Research Institute Hub Bid Team
The Dementia Research Institute (DRI) bid process took three years from initial discussion to the final publicity. The size of this bid was unprecedented and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø had no existing model to base the submission on. By establishing new connections between the academics, SLMS Research Coordination Office, SLMS Projects and Partnerships, SLMS Communications and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Communications and Marketing created a compelling, comprehensive and clear narrative conveying Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's ambitions. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø was successfully selected as the hub of the new £250M UK DRI and will be the centre of a UK-wide effort to improve the lives of millions locally and internationally.

Community Impact Champion Award

Winners: Green Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's Sustainability Team

Green Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's Sustainability Team
In 2015 Camden Council introduced a trial that changed the route that motor traffic used along the corridor of streets that roads surround Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's Bloomsbury Campus, a section marked a 'black area' on the pollution map. During the trial, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's community of over fifty thousand students and staff and Camden residents benefited from the increased ease and safety of cycling and walking along the new route. Green Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø promoted the consultation and educated students and staff on the benefits of the trial in order to create a positive outcome to the community.
