Staff and students from across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø came together on Wednesday 7 June on the Wilkins Terrace to celebrate the staff who go the extra mile to support student learning.

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Education Awards recognise outstanding work that enhances learning, and improves student outcomes experience; work that has enabled excellence or facilitated innovation in teaching and learning.

The awards were presented by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's President & Provost, Dr Michael Spence and Professor Kathy Armour, Vice-Provost Education and Student Experience, and Hamza Ahmed, the Students' Union Education Sabbatical Officer.

49 individual and 22 team nominations were put forward by faculties. Out of these, 8 individuals and one team were nominated.

We are delighted (but not surprised!) that Dr Melanie Garson was jointly awarded the Provost’s Education Award for supporting students' employability.

Melanie was jointly awarded alongside Nikki Baxter, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø VP ESE.

Melanie spearheaded both the department’s annual Careers Week, and a thriving helping alumni and recent graduates to find career opportunities and advice.
