The paradigm of structural biology is that "structure = function", which has successfully guided the discovery of vast amounts of biomolecular structures. Yet function crucially depends on how these molecular structures are assembled into larger multi-molecular entities. The principles of structural organization of such assemblies – involved in a multitude of health and disease processes in the living cells – are still incompletely understood. Supported by Strategic Partner Funds of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and University of Toronto, this workshop will focus on activities at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and University of Toronto that aim to understand the physics of such biological assembly. It will take the form of two simultaneous, virtually linked in-person events at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and at the University of Toronto.
