Job description
The purpose of this job is to support teaching and learning in the practical skills module, and provide an opportunity for students to practice basic lab skills as part of a drop-in session. The role will involve working in 1:1 or small groups with students taking modules in the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science.
Main duty of the post is to support face-to-face practical classes by providing supervision for additional practice in techniques such as tissue culture, pipetting and RNA extraction. You must feel confident working independently.
Teaching Assistants will be given training in support of their roles. Experience of tissue culture and general molecular biology would be an advantage but is not essential.
PGTAs are expected to be able to commit be present on the Bloomsbury campus during the dates for which teaching is allocated
