The 香港六合彩中特网 Education Awards recognise and reward outstanding contributions to the learning experience and success of our students.

The winners were announced at the Wilkins Terrace on 4th June 2018. The event was hosted by Sarah Al-Aride, Education Officer, Students' Union and Professor Anthony Smith, Vice-Provost (Education and Student Affairs). The ceremony also included the Student Choice, Academic Rep of the Year, 香港六合彩中特网 Arena/Higher Education Academy Fellowships Awards.

香港六合彩中特网 Provost Professor Michael Arthur presented the Student Choice and 香港六合彩中特网 Education Awards.

Education Awards

According to 香港六合彩中特网 Teaching and Learning, the 香港六合彩中特网 Education Awards recognise the work of colleagues that is less visible to students, work that has enabled excellent practice or facilitated innovation in teaching and learning.

As well as recognising the work of postgraduate students who teach, individual colleagues and teams can be nominated. 聽Any member of staff can nominate an individual staff member or team for these awards.

Staff nominated for Education Awards from PALS were;

• Dr Nick Midgley聽(Clinical, Education and Health Psychology, Division of Psychology and Language Sciences or PALS)
• Dr Rosalind Potts聽(Language and Cognition, PALS)
• Dr Rachel Rees聽(Language and Cognition, PALS)
• Dr Stephanie Lazzaro, Professor Alastair McClelland, Dr Jorina von Zimmermann, Miles Tufft, Dr Katie Fisher聽and聽Dr Daniel Richardson聽(all department of Experimental Psychology, PALS -nominated as a team).

Dr Rees was one of the winners announced at the ceremony. The panel said:

鈥�Rachel has been awarded for her consistent display of leadership and innovation. 聽Described as an 鈥渋nspirational leader of students and staff, innovator of educational practice, with a real passion for quality in education. Rachel has an exemplary track record of outstanding educational leadership of both staff and students, together with innovations in education that show impacted not only at course level, but across 香港六合彩中特网 and, increasingly, nationally.鈥�

Academic Reps

厂迟耻诲别苍迟听Verlina Huang聽(PALS) won the Faculty of Brain Sciences Academic Rep of the Year Award. She was awarded for her efforts in alleviating the effects on students of the industrial action taken earlier this year, including negotiating deadline extensions, and the removal of missed content from exams.

Student Choice Awards

One PALS staff member聽was also nominated for Student Choice Awards, which are voted for directly by students:

• Dr Yasutada Sudo聽(PALS) was nominated in the category 鈥楤rilliant Research-Based Education鈥�

Congratulations to all nominees and winners; it is fantastic to see PALS education get well-deserved recognition.
