Congratulations to Nichola Briggs and Philippa Clay, two recent graduates from the MSc Speech and Language Sciences, who have been awarded the Tavistock Prize for 鈥渆xcellent work related to aphasia鈥� from The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia.

The award of 拢300 was made for their final year projects.

Nichola鈥檚 project on Preliminary Evidence for Modality Specific Attention Impairment in Post-Stroke Aphasia, was supervised by Dr Carolyn Bruce and Dr Caroline Newton.聽
Philippa鈥檚 project on Making the Community Integration Measure accessible for people with Acquired Communication Difficulties, was supervised by Professor Jane Maxim.聽

The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia is a national organisation aiming to raise the profile of aphasia amongst speech and language therapists of the future.
