Get funding to work with staff in your department to enhance the student experience. Applications close on Friday 26 January.

Make a lasting impactÌý

ChangeMakers projects aim to improve an aspect of your education and experience at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø – including assessment, building community, learning resources and more.

All Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students are eligible to apply for funding and to partner in a project. Ìý

You'll receive a stipend payment aligned with London Living Wage for your time and contributions. It's also aÌýchance to develop your leadership, project managementÌýand negotiationÌýskills – and make a difference in your department. Ìý

The themes for ChangeMakers projects in 2023/24 are:Ìý

  • Enhancement: making connectionsÌý
  • Innovation: re-imagining educationÌý
  • Engaging with difficult knowledge (Eugenics Legacies Education Project)Ìý

Student-staff partnershipsÌýÌý

Working together respectfully plays a crucial role in shaping education. Both staff and students bring different but equally valuable perspectives, ideas, experiences and expertise to a project.ÌýÌý

A staff partner will help you make a lasting change and help make sure what you are trying to do aligns with the goals of your department.ÌýÌý

How to apply for fundingÌý

ChangeMakers is based on student-staff partnership, so you need a written statement of support from a staff partner, who will work with you throughout your project.ÌýÌýÌý

Applications should demonstrate why the problem the project is seeking to address or solve is important to current students.Ìý

The ChangeMakers team will offer you guidance and support through the process.Ìý

The deadline for applications is Friday 26 January.ÌýÌý

Student successÌý

For the first time, this year if you’re an undergraduate UK domiciled student, you can bid for up to £5,000. This funding would support a project to work in partnership with staff to increase equity and enable the academic success, retention and continuation of marginalised and underrepresented students.
