Study and wellbeing support during the coronavirus crisis

With the Easter break approaching, we’ve gathered the latest on support for your study and wellbeing during the coronavirus outbreak.

Using a laptop for study

Our main coronavirus advice page for staff and students is updated every day with new information, so be sure to check back if you have any questions.

Online learning and assessment

As you know, face to face teaching has now been suspended for the rest of the academic year. You can find information on learning effectively online on Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s Continuing to learn remotely webpage.

Support from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Library Services
Although Library sites, including the Student Centre, are now closed, you can still access electronic books, articles and databases. All book loans have now automatically been extended until Friday 5 June 2020, so you don’t need to worry about returning books. Please check the Library website regularly for further updates.

Student Support & Wellbeing

The SSW team have put together a range of resources, including tips on mental and physical health, staying in touch with friends and family and how to cope with working remotely.

Our student enquiries system,ÌýaskÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø, continues to be available throughout the Easter break. During Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø closure dates (Thursday 9 to Tuesday 14 April), staff will continue to monitor enquiries but will only be responding to urgent welfare issues. We’re also receiving a large volume of enquiries related to coronavirus, so please bear with us if it takes slightly longer than usual to get back to you.

Students’ Union Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø

Students’ Union Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø have started a where you can keep up to date with clubs and societies, find opportunities to volunteer during the coronavirus crisis, and share information and messages of support.

One-to-one appointments and many events are still going ahead remotely. The team are also in conversation with recruiters regarding their planning for internships, graduate roles, assessment centres and interviews.
