University and College Union (UCU) to carry out industrial action in February and March

Strike action is planned for 14 days over a four-week period in February and March 2020.

UCU has called on its members to take industrial action (strike and Action Short of a Strike) to support a dispute about pay and conditions and proposed changes to the USS Pension Scheme. UCU has met all the legal requirements for calling a lawful strike.

When will the industrial action take place?

There will be 14 days of strike action over a four-week period. UCU have notified Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø that action will take place on the following dates:

  • Week one: Monday 24, Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 February
  • Week two: Monday 2, Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 March
  • Week three: Monday 9, Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11, Thursday 12 and Friday 13 March
  • Week four: Thursday 19 and Friday 20 March

Please note these dates differ from the core dates published on the but clarification is given .

Action Short of a Strike (ASoS) has been ongoing since 25 November 2019, this is currently scheduled to end on 29 April 2020.
