Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Summer School 2020

The 2020 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Summer School will run from 29 June–17 July 2020.

The programme is split into two three-week teaching sessions and students have the option of studying for three or six weeks, taking one module per session. Modules are fully approvedÌýundergraduate Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø modules, and so students often transfer academic credit back to their home institution.

In 2019, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Summer School enjoyed considerable success – over 700 students representing 52 nationalities and 250 universities enrolled on a variety of modules from across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s faculties. In 2020, the Summer School team are aiming to welcome at least 900 students to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø.

Drawing on Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s academic strengths in a range of subject areas, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Summer School is unique in London in its academic offering. Modules are encouraged to use London as a learning space and many include excursions or field visits in and around the city. Examples of experiential learning opportunities available to students include guided literary tours on the Literary London module and hands-on experience in the operating theatre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) at Stanmore on the module, Nerve Injury Treatment: Medicine, Science and Engineering.

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Summer School is led by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE), with the Student Recruitment team in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Communications and Marketing (CAM) taking responsibility for marketing and student recruitment. Any member of academic staff interested in learning more about the benefits of getting involved with the programme should contact the Head of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Summer School, Rhod Fiorini, for further details.
