There have been two recent employer consultations related to the USS pension scheme, which Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has responded to. For both of these consultations we asked for your comments and input – these submissions were reviewed by the Provost and shared with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Council as part of the decision-making process on our institutional response.

Pension contributions for USS members will have risen (from 1 April) as a result of the cost-sharing rule which has been implemented in order to satisfactorily complete the 2017 valuation, as required by the pensions regulator. This will be reflected in payslips from this month. You can find out more information on the HR Pension webpages.

You can see Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's response to the consultations, as well as an updated set of FAQs reflecting the most recent questions and concerns, on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø HR website.
