Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø student shortlisted for prestigious national film award

A film made by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Geography PhD student Laura Cuch has been shortlisted for the Arts and Humanities Research Council's 2016 Research in Film Awards.

Spiritual Flavours

Spiritual Flavours, a three-split screen film that explores spirituality and cooking in three different faith communities in one area of west London, is nominated for the 'Utopia Award: Imagining our futures' category.

The film is one part of thatÌýexplores ideas of inheritance, tradition and belief by documentingÌýspirituality and religious practices.

"Having been shortlisted for the award is a fantastic recognition and motivation to push the project further," said Laura.

The awards celebrate short films that have been made about the arts and humanities and their influence on our lives.

Hundreds of films were submitted for the awards, and the winner of each category, to be announced on 10 November at a special ceremony at BAFTA London, will receive £2,000 towards their film-making.
