Academic volunteering: join the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Statistics Network

What is it?

We are offering five students the opportunity to undertake short, statistic-based placements with local voluntary organisations. Students will also be supported by a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø academic who will enable them to make the most out of their experience.

The network is a joint enterprise of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍøU Volunteering Services Unit, which accommodates voluntary placements for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students, and the Connected Curriculum initiative which promotes research-based education, including opportunities for workplace learning.Ìý Ìý

What you gain

You'll be bringing your subject knowledge and your skills to contribute to real world projects while learning valuable workplace skills. Not only will you build your CV, but you will be supported during your project by a member of staff.

Who can apply

Any students who are studying statistics as part of their course and want to apply that knowledge on a practical project with a real impact.
