Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø launches new Research Integrity hub

10 November 2015

Supporting excellence in research lies at the heart of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's core principles.

Molecules In order to ensure the highest possible standards of research across the university, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has launched a new , bringing together information on the research life cycle, including policy, ethical and practical issues and making it easier for staff and students to find the information they need to guide their work.

The website draws together advice and guidance from across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø on good practice throughout the research life cycle, from design and approval through to publication and authorship, as well as new guidance on collaborative working, research outside the UK and the new requirements for external researchers and information on the Research Funding Ethics Policy.

Professor David Price, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Vice-Provost (Research), said: "We know that the excellent standard of research produced across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø would be unachievable without the integrity and commitment of our staff and students. However, we also know that in the past it has not always been straightforward to find and consult Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø policies on some areas affecting research practices. That's why we've streamlined the process and brought the information together, so information relating to research best practice, policies and training can be more accessible and researchers can feel confident that their work conforms to our standards."

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has also recently published a reflecting the value Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø places on high standards of research integrity across all of its activities.Ìý This statement applies to all staff and students at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and sets out the standards to which all those involved with research at or in collaboration with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø are expect to adhere.Ìý
