Digital Humanities prize workshop supports Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Connections

Funding of £5,000 has been awarded to the winning entry from the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Digital Humanities month prize workshop.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Connections Project Team The project, titled 'Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Connections' aims to create signposts across campus, which will encourage visitors to find out more about the space around them, and share their experiences online via an app.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Connections was designed by Jia Liu (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Archaeology), Emma Norris (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Epidemiology & Public Health), GeorgeÌýNeris (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Centre for Sustainable Heritage, Bartlett) and Peter Williams (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Information Studies) as part of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Digital Humanities month, supported by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Grand Challenge of Intercultural Interaction. This support was made possible thanks to an award to the Grand Challenges from the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Annual Fund, which relies on the contributions of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø alumni to support scholarships, research and work across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø.

The workshop aimed to stimulate new insight into interaction between digital technology and the humanities, and facilitate greater collaboration between academics working in different disciplines. Digital Humanities month was convened by Melissa Terras, Co-director of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Centre for Digital Humanities.
