Library open forum

As part of the arrangements agreed by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Library Committee for facilitating greater transparency and communication about Library matters within Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø, there will be a Library open forum on Wednesday 28 March from 2pm-3.

Library 30pm in the A V Hill Lecture Theatre. All Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø staff and students are invited to attend.

The Forum will involve a series of presentations by Library Services colleagues on strategic challenges and developments affecting the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Library and the delivery of services to its staff and student stakeholders.Ìý

There will be a brief opportunity to ask questions after each presentation, and the afternoon will conclude with an Open Forum for general questions and answers.

The schedule for the afternoon will be as follows:

  • 2.05pm - Welcome and introduction:ÌýProfessor David Price, Vice-Provost (Research) and Chair of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Library Committee
  • 2.10pm - Challenges and opportunities for Library Services, 2012-13: Dr Paul Ayris, Director of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Library Services and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Copyright Officer. Ìý
  • 2.20pm - The Cruciform Hub: Ben Meunier, Assistant Librarian (Building Projects) and Kate Cheney, Joint Academic Support Manager, Biomedicine.Ìý
  • 2.40pm - Enriching the Student Experience with readinglists@ucl: June Hedges, Co-ordinator, Teaching & Learning Support Section
  • 2.55pm - New developments in e-publishing in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Library Services: Martin Moyle, Group Manager, IT Services
