Event: Designing London's Olympic legacy

  • Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø is hosting a discussion on the legacy of the Olympics called 'Growing a new piece of city: designing a legacy for 21st Century London'.

    This panel discussion will explore how the 2012 Games is altering the landscape of East London and what transformation means.

    Professor Matthew Gandy (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Geography), from the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Urban Laboratory, will chair the panel, which includes artist Lara Almarcegui and writer Iain Sinclair.

    The event - part of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities programme - will start at 6.30pm in the JZ Young Lecture Theatre on Tuesday 17 November.
