Michael Freeman is Professor of English Law at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø. His research interests are in the rights of children and in medical ethics, particularly in relation to medically assisted reproduction and the ethics of public health.

Professor Freeman has written more than 60 books. He is the Founding Editor of the International Journal of Children's Rights; Editor of the International Journal of Law in Context, General Editor of International Library of Medicine, Ethics and Law and of the International Library of Family, Society and Law.

Professor Rachel Griffith is Deputy Head of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Economics. Her research considers the ways in which government policies affect economic performance. Her specific interests lie in the global innovative activities of multinational firms, and investigating the links between food pricing, consumer behaviour and nutritional outcomes.

Professor Griffith is a Deputy Research Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies. She is a director of the Review of Economic Studies, on the Executive Committee of the European Economic Association, on the Council of the Royal Economic Society and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research.

Each year, the British Academy elects to its Fellowship outstanding UK-based scholars who have achieved distinction in a branch of the humanities and social sciences. Election is a mark of distinction, as only a very small number of scholars in any field are elected.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø now has a total of 28 Fellows of the British Academy among its staff.
