The main roles of IHEST are to help remedy the lack of public understanding of science, and bring science and society closer together. IHEST provides training and leads public debate on scientific issues and the public perception of them, and aims to build up a pool of key figures devoted to exchanging ideas on science and technology and participating in their governance.ÌýÌý Ìý
