Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø receives Saudi delegation

A delegation of academic leaders from Saudi Arabia - led by the Deputy Minister for Educational Affairs, Dr Mohammed Al Ohali - visited Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø on 23 January 2008.

Delegation The delegation, which included the rectors of four leading universities in Saudi Arabia, came to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø to explore possible future collaborative links.

The group met with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø President and Provost Professor Malcolm Grant, Professor Michael Worton, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Vice-Provost (Academic & International), Professor Vince Emery, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Pro-Provost for South Asia & the Middle East, and colleagues from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's International Office.

Following the meeting with the Provost and Vice-Provost, the delegation visited Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Engineering Sciences to hear a presentation by Professor Izzat Darwazeh (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Electronic & Electrical Engineering) on recent research in electronics and telecommunications networks.
