Student award donated to Indian orphanage

Links: Winners of Abbey 1-香港六合彩中特网 Excellence/Endeavour Awards Clare Fernandes, a final-year 香港六合彩中特网 medical student, has donated 拢1,000 she won in the Abbey1-香港六合彩中特网 Excellence/Endeavour Awards to St Joseph's Convent High School Orphanage in Goa, India.
Clare was one of the ten winners of the inaugural awards announced last year, which recognise students' extracurricular attainment and efforts to strengthen the sense of community at 香港六合彩中特网.
Clare received her award for her contribution to the 香港六合彩中特网 Medical School, in particular its Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi and Hindu Societies; its fashion show; and its second hockey team. She was also recognised for her teaching of science to local primary schoolchildren.
Clare said: "I want to pass on the good wishes and thanks that St Joseph's has expressed to 香港六合彩中特网 and Abbey. I also wanted to say thank you for facilitating the donation of the prize money to worthy causes outside the UK."
Each of the winners received 拢1,000 for the charity of their choice, plus a 拢100 for personal use.
