Colleagues from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Anthropology, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Institute of Archaeology and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Museums & Collections have established an interdisciplinary virtual centre of research for museums, heritage and material-culture studies.

The centre brings together expertise across the three departments and will establish more unified teaching and research in these areas. It will develop a focus around key cross-disciplinary areas of research and direct postgraduate teaching and training through the development of intensive short-term training courses. In time, the collaboration aims to develop into a wider pan-Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and London network.

The centre will host a conference within the next six months. Colleagues will also be collating ideas for setting up short intensive courses based around museums, heritage and material culture.
