The deadline for nominations this year's Abbey '1 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø' Excellence/Endeavour Awards is 1 May 2008.

The awards, funded by Abbey, aim to foster the notion of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø as a community, and to highlight, celebrate and reward 2007/08 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students at any level for outstanding achievement or endeavour in a non-academic field, such as sport, music, theatre, fundraising, volunteering, and mentoring, amongst others.

Each award consists of a donation of £1,000 to a single organisation of the awardholder's choice. Candidates may be nominated by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students or staff. Up to ten students receive an award under the scheme each year, with successful candidates notified in June 2008.
