Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø in the News: Universities to Push Key Skills

22 November 2007

One of the biggest problems facing the UK IT industry in recent years has been the falling numbers of young recruits.

However, Revitalise IT is a new initiative that aims to tackle the issue. …

Organisations already committed to the initiative include major employers such as Vodafone, Microsoft, LogicaCMG, Cisco and Apple, and some universities.

Richard Pettinger [Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Management Science & Innovation], said: "The UK needs to attract more young people into technology.

"It also needs to help future IT professionals develop the right blend of skills they will need for successful careers.

"With its focus on a collaborative approach to curriculum development, Revitalise IT represents a positive and important step towards achieving this goal."
