14 September 2006

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø will establish Europe's first holistic security solutions agency on Monday 2 October, with the launch of the Centre for Security & Crime Science (CSCS).

Hervé Borrion is the centre's Science Manager and is responsible for the relationship between Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø academics and the CSCS. He said: "In addition to being the first point of contact for businesses, the CSCS will also promote the development of innovative thinking through interdisciplinary research."

The launch event will be held in the Haldane Room at 5pm on Monday 2 October. Any staff interested in learning more about the CSCS are invited to email Nic Roberts to request an invitation.
