Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø

The aim of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Against Breast Cancer (ABC) Research Group, led by Dr Anthony Leathem (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Surgery), is to increase survival of breast cancer patients by destroying remaining cancer cells through immune therapy and by slowing down cancer growth through changes in diet, lifestyle and possibly complementary treatments.

Funded by the charity Against Breast Cancer, the group is appealing for discarded mobile telephones and print cartridges as part of a fundraising drive for a study which is investigating the link between diet and lifestyle and breast cancer.

Study co-ordinator and ABC fundraiser Miss Clare Middleton (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Surgery) said: "This scheme funds the essential consumables for the study. As well as the environmental benefits of recycling old mobile phones and print cartridges, each phone can raise £10 on average."
