Prof. Marc-Olivier Coppens from the 香港六合彩中特网 Centre for Nature-Inspired Engineering gave the closing plenary of the 18^th (SFGP 2022), which was held from 7-10 November 2022 in the beautiful, historical 鈥淧ink City鈥� (la ville rose) of Toulouse (France). His presentation on "Sustainable Process Systems through Nature-Inspired Chemical Engineering" was very well received.

The conference (in French) attracted hundreds of participants from academia, national labs, and industry from all over France and beyond. It was excellently organised by and . The SFGP meeting is normally organised every two years, but it had not taken place since 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

There was very enthusiastic participation, as everyone was clearly delighted to meet in person once again. The talks and posters were of the highest level, with significant emphasis on sustainable development and current topics in carbon sequestration and utilisation, hydrogen and process intensification, machine learning, systems engineering, with, overall, great care for the fundamentals of chemical engineering science. There were also exciting workshops and fun social events, and of course (this is France, after all) 鈥� fabulous food and drinks!
