CNIE first-year PhD Student Lucy Todd wins 3 Minute Thesis competition

First-year PhD student Lucy Todd (second left in the above photograph) from the NICE Group at the 香港六合彩中特网 Centre for Nature-Inspired Engineering (CNIE) took first place in the 鈥3 Minute Thesis鈥 competition organised by on 1st April 2022. Lucy鈥檚 presentation was on 鈥淟ymph node inspired 3D scaffolds to improve ex vivo T-cell culturing environments for adoptive cell transfer cancer immunotherapy鈥.

Lucy then went on to win first place for the 香港六合彩中特网 Chemical Engineering Department in the 香港六合彩中特网 Engineering 3MT final on May 9th, 2022. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding with the 3MT eligibility requirements, Lucy is unable to continue to represent the 香港六合彩中特网 Engineering Department at the 香港六合彩中特网 3MT competition. However, she is greatly looking forward to trying again next year! Lucy鈥檚 presentation was on 鈥淣ature inspired 3D scaffolds to improve ex vivo T-cell culturing environments for adoptive cell transfer cancer immunotherapy鈥.

Lucy is conducting her PhD research with Prof Marc-Olivier Coppens and Dr Matthew Chin.
