Description
Since ancient times, people have engaged in the art of secret communication i.e., have developed mechanisms for ensuring that confidential information is not leaked to unauthorised parties. In the modern era, the interactions in which we engage have become significantly more complex, leading to a landscape in which both the security goals of a system and the threats faced by it are difficult to define, let alone evaluate. This module introduces students to the design and evaluation of secure systems, both in the physical and computerised realms.
PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE AN MRES SECURITY SCIENCE (SECReT) STUDENT: You are encouraged to take this module unless you have a background in computer science and cybersecurity.
