Summary
This module introduces the basic concepts of epidemiological research design, analysis and interpretation, with a focus on child health. The aims of this module are to introduce you to the basic concepts and methods of epidemiology and data analysis and to provide you with the tools to develop your own research interests.

Understand basic concepts and methods of epidemiology, including measures of disease frequency, association and impactÌý

Who is this module for?
This module is one of the available core modules for the Community Child Health pathway and an optional module for all other MSc Paediatrics and Child Health pathwaysÌý

Teaching and Learning Methods
Teaching is delivered face-to-face over five days, through a mix of lectures and practical sessions
Assessment
Critical analysis and questions on a child health epidemiological paper, with up to 300 words per answer (unseen).
