Description

The module aims to:

鈥� Use a scaffolded approach between partnership settings and university tutors, to give students practical experience of applying research to practice.

鈥� Through lectures, support students in turning theory into practice to make a meaningful difference.

鈥� Discover how action research, locally, national and internationally impacts on early years pedagogy and practice.

鈥� Engage in dialogue with both academic researchers and practitioners about the impact of research on quality of provision and children鈥檚 outcomes.

鈥� Give opportunity for students to participate in workshops and consider the influence of Action Research in EYFS Settings across the 0-5 age range.

You will

鈥� Gain practical experience of applying research to practice in an academic and professional setting

鈥� Have a good understanding of how current action research has an impact on pedagogy and practice in an early years setting

This module is assessed on a presentation based on a multi-disciplinary research project.
