Description

Students choose a topic, for example, the creation of an interactive assembly in an urban setting. They then work in groups with their specialist design tutors to prepare an initial set of propositions that are first drawn and simulated to check visual, behavioural, and environmental qualities. Chosen performances and / or interactive assemblies are then part choreographed and fabricated and evaluated for further investigation in module BARC0071. There will be lectures and visits as appropriate, as well as and associated skills classes.

There will be class and studio work in groups of up to three students. There are intensive tutorials and seminars every week in Term 2 with major public design presentations by students in an open jury session (or review) towards the end of Term 2. Work in progress is presented at the interim review in the middle of Term 2 for formative feedback. Final Portfolios are submitted at the start of Term 3 for summative marks at the end-of-year portfolio examination.Ìý
