Description
Module Content
The advancement of a new type of prosperity requires engagement in a range of collective problem-solving activities. Alongside conventional approaches to social and ecological challenges by actors from the governmental and voluntary sectors (for instance), novel kinds of problem-solving methods that bring different sectors together and generate innovative solutions are now badly needed. Collective Problem-Solving for Inclusive Prosperity takes stock of a number of methods that are responding to this urgent need, ranging from Citizen Assemblies to Human-Centred Design, Forum Theatre and Crowd Sourcing. The module treats students as (future) transition leaders and managers who need to be able to mobilise diverse audiences through suitable problem-solving methodologies and frameworks. The focus is on collective problem-solving approaches that can cut across sectors that normally operate in isolation, mobilising collective creativity, contrasting standpoints and significant resources.Ìý
