Description

This module will provide you with experience of ‘best-practice’ audiology procedures within audiology departments for adults and children. This module will provide you with the skills to take basic patient histories, carry out and assist in a range of diagnostic-vestibular assessments and understand the key concepts in the provision of auditory rehabilitation, counselling of patients and writing clinical reports. The majority of learning in this module will be through observation on clinical placements at hospitals and units within the London and surrounding area. However, the student may have opportunity for ‘hands-on’ clinical work when appropriate and safe to do so.

This is a compulsory module in the MSc / PG diploma in Audiological Science, and in Audiological Science with Clinical Practice.
