• The mechanisms underlying training, fatigue, and under-performance.
• How to conduct an objective exercise test and measure performances, for example with cardiopulmonary exercise testing
• Physiological explanations for the differences exercise capacity between genders and at different ages.
• The energy demands of exercise and its measurement using exercise testing
• Exercise Physiology screening tools for athletes and the wider population
