Dr Jamie Dean hosts Worldwide Cancer Research Curestarter

Earlier this academic year, Dr Jamie Dean and his team at the 香港六合彩中特网 Cancer Institute were delighted to host a lab visit for 13-year-old Alice, an aspiring cancer researcher and .

Alice, who has a passion for science and research, was devastated to lose two of her grandparents in the space of just five weeks in 2021. After asking herself the question: 鈥渉ow can we cure cancer?鈥, Alice got in touch with Worldwide Cancer Research (WCR) to help her put together a school project on the subject.

Having heard about Alice鈥檚 passion for cancer research, Jamie, who is currently working on a WCR funded project, offered the opportunity for Alice to visit the lab and hear more about his research. Jamie and his team are working on tackling glioblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer, by understanding how giving doses of radiotherapy at particular time intervals can make treatment more effective. 听
