Sexual Harrassment

The Department of Mathematics has endorsed the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍøU Zero Tolerance Pledge for sexual harassment. Students can contact Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Student Mediator Dr Ruth SiddallÌýto seek advice and assistance with the resolution of complaints, involving staff or other students or Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø services. Student Union Advice Service

The Student Union also offers an Advice Service which can offer advice regarding:

  • Academic issues - includingÌýextenuating circumstances, plagiarismÌýandÌýcomplaints
  • Housing - including contract checks andÌýhousemateÌýdisputes
  • Employment - including unpaid wages and part timeÌýemploymentÌýcontracts
  • Many other legal andÌýuniversityÌýmatters

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has a team of expert wellbeing, disability and mental health advisors who provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, in which you can discuss any issues that may be affecting your ability to study.

Departmental Mentors

We recognise that female PhD students are in the minority in our department, so Prof. Karen Page and Dr. Nadia Sidorova act as mentors to these students. They can be contacted any time for informal discussions as well as running occasional events.Ìý
