Partner in Philip & George Protheroe (q.v.) with his cousin George Protheroe (q.v.) and then with his son Mark Davis Protheroe. Son of Philip Protheroe of Bristol (1747-1803) and brother of Edward Protheroe (1774-1856) (q.v.). Bankrupt 1843.

  1. Will of Philip Protheroe merchant of Bristol proved 22/06/1846. His son Mark Davis Protheroe left under 拢10,000 in 1863.

Date of death is from the Bath Chronicle and Weekly Gazette, 11 June 1846.
