In the will of Alexander Crawford of [Antigua but now residing in] Devonshire Street near Queen Square proved 09/10/1772 he said that he had contracted to buy Evansons for 拢8000 from Clement Tudway. He left the estate to his eldest son John Francis Crawford subject to an annuity of 拢200 p.a. to his [the testator's] wife Mary, of 拢150 p.a. (and a lump sum of 拢2000) to his son Charles and 拢100 p.a. to his daughter Mary.
