Biography

Son of Charles James Sholto Douglas and half-brother of James Sholto Douglas (q.v.), for whom he appears to have been a trustee. The source of the 拢100,000 personalty he left at death is not clear.

  1. Will of Edward Bullock Douglas of Montpellier France proved 25/09/1830. In his will and codicil, which are each five lines long, he left monetary legacies of 拢500 each to his executors, 拢1000 to his nephew Sir James Douglas, and 拢200 to 'Mr Brown' on top of the salary due to Brown, and the remainder of his estate to his wife and son.
